Okay, since the Halloween costume poll was a toss up we've decided to go in a new direction. After last year's gorilla costume debacle, we decided not to dress as a primate, or any other jungle creature for that matter. Secondly, Tripp follows the Michael Phelps diet of 12,000 calories and runs about 10 miles a day, he really doesn't have the body for a speedo and his head is enormous and might look funny in that little cap. His head is only so big because he has such a huge BRAIN. Finally, Tripp no longer has a mohawk and can't really pull of the Mr. T look, its too bad, because that was my vote! Instead Tripp will dress as a lumberjack, or the Brawny man, whatevs! We have started gathering all the necessities to get him as decked out as possible. Buffalo check shirt, big clunky boots, an axe (just kidding, what kind of mother do you think I am, giving a child something so dangerous!) he's going to carry a chainsaw. He's a modern day lumberjack, you know, like Axe Men, the show. We aren't going to make him shave his facial hair between now and Halloween, so he'll have a nice full bearly beard for Trick-or-Treating.
Just for a laugh I decided to include this picture of Tripp in the Gorilla costume of 2007. Check out the look on his face, it's like he's asking the person to my left ,"Will you distract her, while I run away?" notice the keys in his hand. Tripp loved that costume, up until Halloween. He would play in it in the workroom, at home, everywhere until Halloween came. Then he hated that costume, maybe it was like stage fright or something. Maybe he didn't think his gorilla was believable. I guess we'll never know.
